Forest Is Coming to Hounslow

We’re excited to share that Forest will soon be rolling out our shared e-bikes in the borough of Hounslow, marking our 18th borough launch across London. From Monday 11 August, residents will be able to hop on our signature green e-bikes to move around the borough more affordably, more sustainably, and more freely.

Our expansion into Hounslow follows a highly competitive tender process where we came out on top—another vote of confidence in our mission to make zero-emission travel accessible to all Londoners.

What’s coming to Hounslow?

Together with Hounslow Council, we’re introducing 1,087 Forest e-bikes to the borough. These dockless e-bikes will be available across 248 parking bays, with more to come as the borough continues to expand its sustainable transport infrastructure.

This means more options for locals to choose greener ways to get around, reduce road congestion, and support healthier, more active lifestyles.

Our growth journey (so far)

July was a huge month for us. Forest riders took 1.5 million trips—a record-breaking milestone and a 60% year-on-year increase in usage. That’s more Londoners than ever choosing a low-carbon commute, a cleaner school run, or a scenic weekend ride.

We’ve built Forest with London in mind, and this continued growth shows just how ready the city is for change.

What makes Forest different?

We’re not just an e-bike company. We’re London’s only zero-emission operator, with every bike and support vehicle powered by renewable energy. In 2024, we gave away over 40 million minutes of free rides—worth more than £11 million—so that more people can choose sustainable transport without cost being a barrier.

Forest was founded in 2021 by Agustin Guilisasti (ex-Cabify), Caroline Seton, and Michael Stewart. In just five years, we’ve become London’s fastest-growing shared e-bike operator, with over 1.2 million rides completed every month.
